Cane Corso Dog Breed Information Profile |
This
robust, muscular working dog is native to Italy, where it was originally
used to hunt game and catch cattle. Possibly the only "Coursing Mastiff left
in the world, the Cane Corso does not drool - unlike some other Mastiff
breeds, and is easy to house-break. Intelligent and easy to train, this
breed gets along well with other pets and makes and excellent working
(hunting , guard and cattle ) dog and family pet. Cane Corsos are very
gentle and submissive - especially with children. They stand from 25 to 28
inches at the shoulder and weigh from 92 to 110 pounds (females may be
slightly smaller). This breed has a dense, rough coat that requires minimal
grooming. They need daily exercise, but are also laid-back and enjoy
snuggling up on the couch too! |
